Help With The Movies:

Q: The movies don't play or come up as a broken link?

A: Do you have QuickTime installed? If not go to the apple site and download a free copy of the newest version of QuickTime and install it on your computer. Restart your browser and try again.

(follow this link to get QuickTime)

Q: The movies take forever to load?

A: These files are very large. We chose large format, high quality video images over fast loading crappy ones but if you don't have an minimum of an ADSL or cable connection to the internet you will not be able to download them (unless you wait all night). Contact us and ask for the movies on CR rom.

Q: I have QuickTime installed but the movies still don't play?

A: If you did manage to download QuickTime you are nearly there. This is what you need to do to configure Internet Explorer to play the movies from within the browser. Netscape users should find these instructions close but things may be named differently.

In the browser choose ‘edit’ and ‘preferences’ or whatever the PC equivalent is. Now choose ‘file helpers’. This is the area of your settings that tell your browser what plugins to use to view various files. Scroll down until you find the QuickTime plugin that enables you to play and view .mov files (basic QT movie files).

(This is what it looks like on my Mac)

Open that helper’s prefs by choosing ‘change’ and in the ‘handling’ area choose ‘view with plugin’. If QT player is not the defualt application in the ‘file type’ area you may have to browse your hard drive from that area to find your newly downloaded player.

Still having problems? Go to the apple site and check out their support for QuickTime related issues.

Good Luck!
